Salida
The funky little town of Salida is a quick 30 minute drive south of Buena Vista and perfect for a Front Range escape. With tons of great access and a fun local art scene, there’s plenty to explore during your visit.
Party at FIBArk: Hop in a guided whitewater trip down the Arkansas River before heading to the nation’s oldest whitewater festival. From freestyle kayak pros, to a costume-themed Hooligan Race, to free live music, FIBArk is a must visit. The 2019 festival is being held June 13-16.
Hike Huron Peak: Looking for some 1-on-1 trail time? Check out Salida’s vast network of hiking and biking trails, including Huron Peak that just scrapes 14,000 feet and offers breathtaking vistas of the surrounding peaks.

Steamboat Springs
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, or hoping to conquer some trails together, Steamboat is a can’t miss for you and your adventure pal. All-season access to hiking, biking, festivals, and hot springs gives you plenty to plan for during your trip.
Bring the bikes: You can’t afford to miss out on the trails around town. There’s something for all levels of mountain bikers, from fun and flowy singletrack, to gravity fueled downhill, to snowy fat bike adventures. Don’t have your own bike but want to go for a ride? Soak in the springs: For a reasonable fee, you can soak in natural hot spring goodness at the Strawberry Springs just outside of downtown Steamboat. The mineral pools get as hot as 104 degrees and are the perfect way to relax with you and yours.

Dance the night away: Head to Schmiggity’s to celebrate a successful trip! With a jam packed live music calendar (plus great drinks and free popcorn), this main street watering hole knows how to throw a party.
Crested Butte
Crested Butte is packed to the brim with adventures that will take your breath away (we mean it...the town sits just under 9,000 feet above sea level). This is another Colorado classic with incredible outdoor access and enough happenings around town to fill any lazy day.
Take the leap: An easy hike down a treacherous jeep road leads you to the frigid cliff jumping gem that is Devil’s Punch Bowl. If you’ve got some extra time, continue down the trail to Colorado’s iconic Crystal Mill. Remember to do your research before heading to this popular spot, as you’ll be jumping at your own risk.
Enjoy the flowers: The Crested Butte Wildflower Festival is a scenic backdrop for a sunny hike, leisurely bike ride, or photo session). Check back in to learn about dates for the 2019 Wildflower Festival.
