Do What You Love

It feels like the holidays just ended but Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Whether it’s hiking, snowboarding, writing a novel or doing yoga, our philosophy remains the same: follow your passion, do what you love and find where you Belong.

With that in mind, it’s just as important to be with who you love as it is to do what you love. Is there a hike you’ve been dying to try? Do it. A trip you’ve been wanting to go on? Go for it. Doing things you love could lead to something amazing.

It can be hard to pick a spot, especially when there are so many beautiful areas around our state. If you're needing a little inspiration for a destination to check out, we have a few ideas for all levels, whether you're a beginner or the king/queen of the mountain.

Hike: St. Mary's Glacier,
Location: Idaho Springs
Difficulty Level: Easy
You don't have to venture far outside of Denver for a journey into the mountains. Located in the Arapahoe National Forest, St. Mary's Glacier offers beautiful sites and trails even the most novice of trailblazers can tackle. You can even take your snowboarding gear and board down the front of glacier.
    Hike: Mt. Sanitas
    Location: Boulder
    Difficulty Level: Moderate
Looking for a trail that shows off the beauty of Boulder? Mt. Sanitas has a few trails, varying in difficulty but all trails lead to an amazing view of Boulder. The most popular loop goes on for about 3 miles and is best for those with a little more experience under their belt.
      Hike: Quandary Peak
      Location: White River National Forest
      Difficulty Level: Hard
Whether it's your first time taking on a 14er or you consider it a hobby, Quandary Peak is perfect for the day-trip hiker. While the trail itself is short, you'll climb to cliff drop offs and areas where you can really feel the rise in elevation. Once you've conquered the peak, stop by the laid-back, rustic town of Fairplay, a town associated with the popular show, South Park.
